Purpose / Goals of Wildlife Conservation International

The purpose of the Foundation is to raise funds, the raising awareness of and taking action to protect the habitats of Critically Endangered orangutans, elephants and tigers in
Asia, to ensure their survival and promote their well-being and furthermore all that in the broadest sense with all this related to, belongs to and / or conducive to it could be.

The Foundation tries to achieve its goal by, among other things:

  • Raising funds through donations,
  • Adoptions and tree purchases; and
  • Awareness raising through events and education.

The aim of the Foundation is not to make a profit.

The organisation and functions of the Wildlife Conservation International Board

The initial board has been determined in the statutes, the board consists of a minimum of three (3) and maximum of (7) members which will be determined by the board.

The Board consists of:

  • Chairman,
  • Secretary and
  • Treasurer

Reward Policy

  • Board Members are all volunteers that receive no remuneration.
  • Reasonable expenses will be reimbursed with prior written approval.

Summary (main topics) of the policy / strategy

We support direct orangutan conservation (rescue, rehabilitation and release), wildlife and
habitat protection, forest renewal and regeneration, local law enforcement, right through to comprehensive community engagement and education - teaching more viable and sustainable farming practices, empowering local leaders with knowledge, and raising a new generation of forest guardians.
